Buying a new one planner provides an endorphin rush like no other, whether it’s for a new school semester, work year or just a much needed fresh start. A good one should help you stay on track without overwhelming you.
Here at WIRED, our Gear team prefers paper planners to digital tools – nothing beats the feel of a pen against a whole new sheet of paper, plus writing down helps us remember them – but this time we’re included a digital tool that we think can Add to (do not replace) your analog setup.
We did not recommend one best planner because everyone has different preferences, types of tasks and willingness to write and organize. I grilled the WIRED staff to their favorites and have tried a lot on my own. Once you have found something that works for you, you can check out our guides for working from home, the best webcams or the best equipment to start a podcast.
Updated July 2022: We have added Class Tracker and we have also updated links to the latest versions.
